use with linux

Hi,
I got it working with the v1 API of a v2 influxDB - but only from a windos machine.
Now running the same on linux only produces timeouts.
Is there a known reason for this?

Hi @rfrits, I haven't tried to use this library on Linux so unfortunately I'm not sure, but the Travis CI tests pass so I would expect it should work.

Would suggest reviewing the host and port configuration, or checking whether this Linux machine is connected to the right network and has access to the database.

Talked to my IT people.
Connection to database is checked with tcping, and port of database server is open.
Still no connection for the webwrite.
Will ask Influx people and Matlab people and hope for some hints there.
