While examining the release notes, I found some release notes that, while important and valued, I think are not broadly interesting or impactful enough to warrant a prime place in the release notes. The note names and linked PRs are:

  • Will mostly be consumed via the new core widgets
  • Very dry
• event_split: Event Split: Event, EntityEvent, and BufferedEvent #19647 and Split BufferedEvent from Event #20101
  • Should be rolled into the observers overhaul notes
• faster_zstd_option: add native zstd support #19793
  • poorly motivated
  • doesn't enable anything new
• log-diagnostics-state-public: Expose LogDiagnosticsState #19323
  • very mundane change
  • doesn't seem to allow anything particularly interesting
• text2d_shadows and text2d_textbackgroundcolor
  • should be merged into one release note
