How to disable thinking

Arch Linux, Goose latest, Ollama, Qwen3

When using with thinking models the goose response contains big "think" block I don't really need and I suspect it make interactions slower. Ollama allows to disable it by multiple ways, when running model and in interaction mode. But how to disable it on the goose side?

And there is also that warning WARN goose::session::storage: Generated description too long, truncating.

Of course I can pass /no_think param to each prompt, but this is inconvenient and the <think> tag still persists.

Hi there! Thank you for this question. I didn't realize Ollama allows you to disable this think block. I don't know that there is a way right now to disable it on goose's end. cc @blackgirlbytes @DOsinga @michaelneale

You can add /no_think to your .goosehints . Basically passing /no_think into the system prompt will disable it, for SmolLM3 and Qwen3 but other models will be different.

The tags showing would be a different issue I think.
